We often install your artificial grass lawn in one day! This obviously depends on the surface area. We lay areas of up to 100m² in one day!

Artificial grass is water-resistant so you can easily hose it down with water, but artificial grass does not necessarily need to be sprinkled. If you have dogs and it’s dry for a few weeks then you can spray off your mat where the dog’s faeces are. Also if it is dusty or you are in the middle of a renovation then you can spray off artificial grass.

Yes, as with all types of user products, some maintenance is also required for artificial grass. But compared to natural grass, it obviously requires a lot less work. It does not have to be mowed, scarified or watered. Even bare patches are now a thing of the past.

The amount of maintenance that needs to be done depends a bit on the external factors in your garden. Whereas most people will virtually never do anything to it, gardens with lots of trees, birds or shade need some form of maintenance faster.

Weeds cannot grow through your artificial grass from below. We always apply a pressure-distributing fabric under the artificial grass. This not only has an advantage for the stability of the mat, but also that no weeds can germinate from under your mat. However, it is possible that wind or birds could blow seeds into your grass, causing weeds to grow in your artificial grass from above.

Of course, there is no breeding ground in artificial grass so weeds cannot take root. This also makes it easy to remove or it will dry out quickly in summer.

It is also advisable not to leave fallen leaves on your artificial grass for too long. You can remove them with a rake or leaf blower. We also sell special brush machines with collection tray for this purpose. When left too long, it increases the risk of weeds.

To remove weeds, you can use various biological pesticides. For moss and algae, we also sell the product bio-moss. Although we have never experienced any problems with this, we advise you to try it first on a small area to make sure the mat does not discolour.

Artificial grass is very strong and can be played on intensively. Because we have applied construction techniques from the sports world, it is as strong as a house. Of course, there are differences in qualities that can be played on more intensively. Click here for our product range and possibilities.

When there is snow on the artificial grass, we recommend walking on the artificial grass as little as possible.
When there is a frozen layer of ice on the artificial grass, you should not walk on the artificial grass, as the fibres may break off in this case.

Artificial turf can be laid perfectly around a built-in swimming pool, eliminating the problem of dirty water due to soil or grass and keeping it looking neat. You can also place a swimming pool on the artificial grass during the summer months, but be careful with the point load. We recommend laying good tiles under the legs or bars to distribute the pressure. When the pool is taken off again, you can straighten the fibres by brushing with a hard broom.

Yes artificial grass gets hot in the sun. However, it does not get hotter than your outdoor tiles. But it does get warmer than real grass. At summer temperatures in the Netherlands of more than 30 degrees, anything exposed to the sun outside is naturally very hot. If the children want to play on it at these temperatures, we recommend using a sprayer to cool the artificial grass.

We work with Dutch products with a 10-year warranty on the artificial grass. This is only on colour fastness and yarn resistance. For a detailed explanation, please refer to our general terms and conditions, section 17.

There are different types of high-pile and low-pile colored artificial grass. Colored artificial grass is used for various purposes, such as balconies or decoration.

The presence of grass and especially mowing it can trigger allergic reactions. When you install artificial grass, you significantly reduce these allergic reactions like hay fever.

It is no problem to place your garden set or other heavy objects on the artificial grass, because our underlayer consists of granulate or lava it is suitable to place heavy objects on the grass. If the object is sharp on the underside, we always recommend placing a plate underneath to minimise the point load so it cannot pierce through the artificial grass.

Moles cannot damage artificial grass. Moles are unfortunately insurmountable in rural areas; they will only be able to get under the artificial grass from the sides. If a mole burrows under your artificial grass lawn, subsidence may occur. Such subsidence can of course be repaired. Our artificial grass specialists will be happy to visit you at short notice!

Artificial grass is not flammable. Artificial grass is fire-retardant and scorches away. The infill sand extinguishes the fire and prevents it from burning.

Do take care with cigarettes or bbqs when coals or a burning cigarette falls on the artificial grass it scorches away. Of course, we can repair this. When we lay the garden, we always leave more than 1 m2 so that it has the same colour code as what is in your garden so we can repair it.

To get right to the point: no, artificial grass is not carcinogenic and does not contain carcinogenic substances. Artificial grass from Mastergrass is 100% safe and extensively tested. Children and pets can play to their heart’s content on our artificial grass. Our artificial grass is also fireproof. Small amounts of carcinogenic substances are found in the rubber crumb used for professional artificial grass pitches in sports. This is a different type of artificial grass.

For every garden we lay in the Netherlands or Belgium, Mastergrass always works with a sub-base of mixed granulate or Lava. We do this because this is perfect for drainage and the top layer of this sub-base becomes hard. The concentration of sand and concrete makes this a perfect drainage for your artificial grass. Because the sub-base becomes hard and is walked on, the sub-base always remains super smooth. For playground equipment and trampolines too, granules are the best solution for a solid sub-base.

Yes all our products are chlorine-resistant. Artificial grass around and under the pool is therefore also perfect. The artificial grass will always retain its colour and plants around the pool will not drown.

The pressure-distributing cloth, also called geotextile pressure-distributing cloth, is placed under the artificial grass during installation. This cloth protects the sub-base from potholes and pits. It also prevents weeds from growing through the artificial grass.

Yes, this is true. We sand our artificial grass with 12.5-15kg per m2. This has 2 advantages:

1. It gives the mat stability and weight which prevents possible blowing away.
2. It offers extra support to the fibre which ensures that they stay upright more beautifully

This is, of course, incredibly annoying. Unfortunately, we cannot do anything about such external factors and so it does not affect agreed price arrangements. That doesn’t mean we don’t want to help! Additional work in the form of repairs can always be done by mutual agreement at an agreed price. Together we will solve it!

No, concerning the artificial grass Mastergrass invokes the legal exception whereby custom-made products cannot be returned. As we have to cut artificial grass to size for you, it cannot be returned after delivery or placement of the order.

No, artificial grass bought through this online shop is cut to size according to the specifications you entered. Therefore, the right of withdrawal does not apply. The sale is therefore final after successful payment.
